Gone Crazy Knitting Blankets PDF Print E-mail
Ever since getting the Addi Express I've gone nuts creating blankets out of sewn together knitted tubes.
Tubes sewn to make a blanket
Here are blue tubes sewn to make a blanket

You can see how I sew them together here...

Opal blues
Blues and purples all lined up
Et Viola! a beautiful warm blankie ( It's winter here in Australia)
Invisible darn
I use an invisible darn to join the tubes.

Finished Blanket
They are thick and irresistable to the touch

I do them in contrasting colours

Pinks and blues
Once you get started you use all sorts of combinations

Then I add a piping edge once I have sewn them all togehter
Piping edge
The stitches at the end of the tube are picked up and cast off as a piping

I've even made some from joining all my left over yarn

Sku, pink flowers and green grass
There is no limit to the combinations of colours

or cutting up my tankled wool.
Left over wool
I even took the scissors to my tangle and extracted these colours

They are warm as warm because they are double thickness.

Can't take my eyes of this one
This one is like a wool dictionary of all my past projects

Warm
You can brave any cold with this around your shoulders

Replacement blanket for my son
This replaced my son's original blanket.
